Description

Ingredients

  • 12 slices of bread
  • 6 slices of ham
  • 12 slices of cheese (Gruyère or Emmental)
  • Butter (for the bread)
  • Salt
  • Pepper

Instructions

  1. Butter one side of a slice of bread.
  2. On an unbuttered slice, place a slice of cheese, followed by a slice of ham, and then another slice of cheese.
  3. Top with another slice of bread, buttered side out.
  4. Heat a skillet over medium heat and toast each side of the sandwich for about 3-4 minutes until golden brown and the cheese is melted.
  5. Once golden, cut in half and serve hot.
