- 2 cups basmati rice
- 180g shrimp
- 1 bowl peas
- 2 caramelized onions
- 1 caramelized red bell pepper
- 3.5 cups water
- Ground saffron
- 1 teaspoon turmeric
- 1 teaspoon curry
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- Pinch of cumin seeds
- Pepper, salt
- 2 teaspoons dried parsley
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 180°C (356°F).
- Sauté the onions and bell pepper in a little olive oil until caramelized.
- Mix basmati rice with shrimp, peas, and spices (saffron, turmeric, curry, paprika, cumin, pepper, and salt).
- Add water and bake at 170°C (338°F) for approximately 60 minutes for fragrant and perfectly cooked rice.
Notes
For enhanced flavor, use vegetable broth instead of water. Avoid stirring the rice too much during cooking to keep it light and fluffy.
