Description

A comforting and flavorful onion tart, perfect for family gatherings and recreating cherished memories.


Ingredients

  • 500g onions, finely sliced
  • 3 eggs
  • 200ml milk
  • 150g all-purpose flour
  • 50g butter
  • 100g grated cheese
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. In a skillet, sauté the onions until they are golden brown.
  3. In a bowl, mix together the eggs, milk, butter, flour, grated cheese, salt, and pepper.
  4. Add the caramelized onions to the mixture and stir well.
  5. Grease a tart pan and pour the mixture into it.
  6. Bake for about 40 minutes or until the tart is golden and firm.
  7. Let cool before slicing and serving.

Notes

Add thyme or oregano for extra flavor. Let the tart rest before cutting for better presentation.
