- 1 baguette or ciabatta
- 4 medium tomatoes, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 2 tbsp balsamic vinegar
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional toppings: fresh mozzarella, feta cheese, olives, avocado
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 200°C (390°F).
- Slice the bread into 1 cm thick slices and place them on a baking sheet.
- Brush each slice with olive oil and bake until golden brown, about 5-10 minutes.
- In a bowl, mix the chopped tomatoes, minced garlic, and basil.
- Add balsamic vinegar, olive oil, salt, and pepper to the mixture.
- Once the bread is toasted, generously spread the tomato mixture on top.
- Optionally, add cheese, olives, or avocado on top.
- Serve immediately and enjoy!
